I've been thinking. Dangerous, sure, but I like to do it at least twice a day. So, there's this show called House, MD that is all the rage. Fox likes it so much that it hardly found time to show baseball games during the commercials of House MD Promo-athon. I haven't seen an actual episode but am caught up -- there's a doctor who is trying to break out of prison.... Wait a sec.
I find it amazing that shows like House still get made. I'm not knocking House, really, but hospital dramas are so played, yet they turn up all the time. I envision the pitch meeting with the Fox exec went something like this:

As much as I talk about television I thought it'd be interesting to really take a look at what I watch in any given week. If you exclude sports and movies, I don't really watch that much TV. Really. I took a look at my DVR's settings to guide me here.

It's the kind of firm that solicits people who don't realize they're injured -- "have you taken XXX drug in the last 5 years? If so, you may be entitled to a large amount of cold hard cash." Here is the firm's take on roof lawsuit. These firms make lawyers look like money grubbing whores, but they give the downtrodden somewhere to go when they've actually been wronged. And, this particular firm knows an opportunity when it sees one.

I've been meaning to praise Don Coscarelli's Incident On and Off a Mountain Road that kicked off Showtime's new series Masters of Horror. Since I haven't written though, it's been kind of difficult to convey my feelings.
It was killer. The production values were high. The acting was excellent. The story, created by Joe Lansdale and screenwritten by Coscarelli and Stephen Romano, was intense. I'm excited for the rest of the series and have Dreams in the Witch House on my DVR right now. Once I get up the nerve, I'll watch that.
