Several months ago I reviewed Lionel Dahmer's memoir, A Father's Story, in this space.  I mentioned that some Kansas City filmmakers were adapting the book for the big screen.  Last fall the movie was shot and I just came across the trailer.  It's appropriately creepy.  The production values appear to be pretty good for a small budget film and I hear it's generating some buzz.  If you'd like to read more about the movie, formerly known as Sorry, Dad, check out Raising Jeffrey Dahmer.

Seinfeld DVDs

I'm addicted to Seinfeld.  I am down to two episodes a day, which I consider an accomplishment.  So, when the DVDs came out two years ago I shied away from them.  How much more could I take, really?  I'd seen every episode a dozen times -- did I really need to own them?  Well, I got Seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas and I've now watched every episode and all the extras.  It's great.  Of course.  But, I must admit I find it disheartening when I watch the audio commentary and realize that I know more about the show than Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Larry Charles, Julia Louise-Dreyfuss, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards combined.  I've got to kick this habit.  I'm like a Trekkie who expects William Shatner to know how many space rocks he stepped over in Episode 48.  Too much Seinfeld for me. 

DTS Update...

Whoa, it's been a long time.  Before I disappeared I was getting about 50 hits a day to this here blog where I write of everything and nothing at the same time.  I don't know if that's a lot or a little, but it seemed pretty good to me.   During baseball playoffs, I was seeing about 80 folks here a day.  Then, I vanished like a fart in the wind -- that's what the warden said when Andy Dufresne escaped from Shawshank.  Of course, my disappearance didn't involve Rita Hayworth or a sewer of crap. 

No, I disappeared because my job changed and I got really busy.  A good kind of busy.  Very rewarding.  I was working more which cut into my leisure time, which is what Stories is.  Leisure.  I'm here to fill you in on what I didn't write.
